This summer, award-winning author and illustrator Rob Biddulph will be appearing at Chartwell in Kent, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill, for a series of special family events in association with the National Trust.
Running throughout the summer holidays, the When I Grow Up I'd Like to Be... family trail is inspired by Rob’s latest picture book and invites children and their grown-ups to explore Chartwell’s beautiful gardens while imagining all the exciting things they might become in the future. Along the way, families can enjoy a host of fun activities, including learning how to draw Jock, Chartwell’s famous marmalade cat, in Churchill’s painting studio.
Rob will also be appearing at Chartwell on 12 August and 26 August for four live Draw With Rob events (10.30am and 1.30pm on both days). During these interactive sessions, Rob will share the stories behind his books, lead a live draw-along and teach everyone how to create one of his much-loved illustrations. Afterwards, he'll be signing books and meeting families.
The trail is included with normal admission (or National Trust membership). Tickets for the live Draw With Rob events are limited and must be booked in advance.
